Description:

STAMP's first ever Shakespeare production, The Merchant of Venice, resurrects the infamous conflict between Shylock, a Jewish lender, and Antonia, a Christian businesswoman. Set in the modern context of the Bay Area and populated by characters surprisingly similar to ourselves, this production raises important questions about interfaith dialogue. Each performance will be followed by a fifteen minute talk back session.
