Execution of Justice

3 Dates Through May 05, 2012

ABOUT ABOUT
Emily Mann's Execution of Justice puts the case of the People vs. Dan White itself on trial. In dual acts of violence in November 1978, Dan White killed George Moscone, the Mayor of San Francisco, and Supervisor Harvey Milk, the first openly gay officeholder in the city. The trial polarized San Francisco and highlighted deep divisions about where the city and the nation were headed. At the end of the trial, Dan White was convicted on the lesser charge of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to seven years and eight months in prison.

Execution of Justice asks each of us where we stand. STAMP looks forward to sharing the show to you May 3, 4 & 5.
